This study assessed the impact of integrating °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ Skin and Wound into clinical practice at a large US home health organization using data from Homecare Homebase across 11 HH branches. In 2022, pre-adoption, participating branches provided care for 19,252 patients (25,570 wound care episodes) and 16,276 patients (22,193 wound care episodes) in 2023, post-adoption. The study assessed clinical and operational efficiencies with the following outcomes:
- Skilled nursing visits-per-episode improved by 7.5% resulting in an estimated $1.9M in savings.
- 23% faster wound healing times.
- 60-day wound-related hospitalizations improved by 2.8% resulting in an estimated $3.9M in savings to the healthcare system.
- A positive shift in provider allocation of 1.9%, with an increase in LPNs and decrease in RNs.
